Who is Mrs. Clements?
This is my first year at Middle Creek High School and my 12th year as a science teacher. I grew up in Raleigh, went to NC State (Go PACK!), but have lived in Georgia for the the past 22 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in zoology, a master’s degree in biology, and a master’s degree in Teaching. I studied Great Blue Herons in graduate school, and learned about why they nest in large colonies in the swamps. In the past, I have worked in a medical research lab, surveyed breeding bird populations on coastal islands, and taught science classes at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell Georgia. I am married, have 2 children and 2 cats. In my spare time I love to read, go hiking, and to cook. My son Steven graduated from GA Tech in engineering and my daughter Sarah will be a senior at Vanderbilt University this fall. I am happy to be back home in the Triangle and looking forward to an exciting year at The Creek!
